HyperRedact is made by Vectorsoft, in Malaysia. This policy covers the HyperRedact iPhone app and hyperredact.com.
The short version: we do not collect anything. There is no account to create, no server to send your document to, and no analytics in the app.
Every PDF and image you open is read, redacted and written on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We never see your files, and neither does any third party through us.
The app keeps your open documents in memory only. Closing a document, or closing the app, discards it. HyperRedact writes a file to storage only when you ask it to export one, and that file goes where you tell iOS to put it.
Nothing. Specifically, the app contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting that identifies you, no contact list access and no location access.
If you buy a subscription, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details are given to Apple, not to us, and we never see or store them. Apple tells the app whether a subscription is currently active so it can unlock the paid features, and gives us anonymous, aggregated sales reports — totals and countries, never individuals. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
hyperredact.com is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from other companies. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the ordinary technical information any web server receives — your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user-agent — in order to serve the page and to protect against attack. We do not use that information to build any profile of you, and we do not combine it with anything else.
If you write to support@hyperredact.com, we keep your message so we can answer it and so we can recognise a follow-up. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not pass your address to anyone.
HyperRedact collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is in almost every case nothing for us to show you, correct or erase. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and under the GDPR where it applies to you, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
